Further details about the games I've made

Third time using RPG Maker MZ!!

"They are Confined" was my attempt at a YNFG (Yume Nikki Fangame). I was/am still very inexperienced in game-development, and there were so many game breaking bugs within it, that I decided to remove it from my itch.io entirely. (After the submission for the gamejam ended, of course.)

The playable character, or "protagonist" in TaC was a pre-established character from my very first unreleased game. The player character has gone through various forms of trauma and abuse, and takes some solace in religion / religious motifs as their way of coping.

I rushed myself to be able to make a game in time for the jam, and in the end, I made something I'm completely and utterly unhappy with. I'm actually quite ashamed to have shared it in the jam, if I'm being honest;;

Not only were some plugins conflicting with one another- but the whole thing just looked really frankenstein-y; stitched together with an amalgamation of purchased tilesets, tileset edits and my own "art".

Ideally, I'd like to redo the game from the ground up- probably using rpg maker MV instead, as I have a good amount of plugins from Yanfly that I know are able to work with the engine. (I relied on the FOSSIL plugin when working in MZ, to try and force the engine to use outdated or otherwise incompatible plugins.)

As for the game content itself: I knew I wanted to focus on horror elements relating to the protagonist's upbringing, specifically regarding their religious views.

I am not a religious person, but I was forcably raised by one up until my pre-teen years. I studied just a bit of subjects of theology to be able to convey that overall feeling when it came to some written / notes within the game.

I don't have much to say about the game itself... it's just very disappointing to me, as a creator haha;;

If, for some ungodly reason you'd like to play this...sort of unplayable mess, feel free to email me

For the future, I'd like to try and remake the game, as I've said, from the ground up. I'm not very good at pixel art, but I'll give it another try when I decide I'm willing to put in the effort.
